Our approach to beauty is, and has always been, radically different.
Everything we do is about creating positive change, for you, for communities and for our planet; and we are working continuously to make a positive systemic impact, across society, within beauty culture and right into the corridors of power.
We create products and beauty routines made for every body – that help make people feel good in their skin.
We create safe formulas that respect your skin, respect the environment and that do what they say they do.
Our products offer robust protection and relief from what life throws at you, like our Hemp Hand Protector…while our hemp crop also helps provide a habitat for local wildlife in France.
So, it’s good for you and good for the planet. Without compromise.
We are part of a global community of certified B Corps who contribute to a bold vision of sustainability, inclusivity and regeneration. We are passionate about using sustainably sourced, natural ingredients and ingredients of natural origin. And we are working towards using natural ingredients based on regenerative farming.
We started campaigning to ban animal testing in 1989. We were the first global cosmetics company to do so. The originals. We’re on track for all our products to be certified by The Vegan Society by end of 2023. By then 100% of our products will contain no animal-derived ingredients. And no animals are harmed at any stage of development or manufacturing.
Our ethical sourcing means we take a holistic approach to eradicating all forms of exploitation, continuously reviewing potential risks and reflecting best practice.
We found no evidence of modern slavery in our business, following our latest audit in 2021. And we have started applying more comprehensive fair pricing criteria in our ground-breaking Community Fair Trade programme, and leading best practice.
